Nurses and Caregivers can be hired for six, eight, or twelve hour shifts, or for a discounted daily rate depending on the level of care provided, and the type of caregiver or nurse requested. Our open ended letter of agreement gives clients the freedom to pause or stop service at any time, for any reason, without penalty.
Hourly CNA, CHHA, Caregiver, Nurse Aide and Nursing Rates*:
- CNA, Nurse Aide and Caregiver:
- 4-9 Hour shifts are billed at $40.00/hour
- Shifts of 9 to 12 hours are billed at $40.00/hour for hours 1-8 and time and one half after 9 hours.
- Couples Care is an additional $12/hour
- Live-in CNA, Nurse Aide and Caregiver: $965/day
- Personal Care LVN: $69/hour*
- Personal Care RN: $90/hour*
Private Care Management Cost:
- Licensed Care Manager: $135/hour
- Licensed Care Manager Concierge Program: $1025/month
The Care Manager Concierge Program includes up to 10 hours** of the following services:
- Two house calls per month by a licensed nurse or Nurse Practitioner to review and assess the client care plan and needs
- Care plan updating coordination with caregivers and other providers
- Continuing education of caregivers and other providers and integration of new or amended services
- Advocating for the client as needed by speaking directly with doctors, insurance companies and any ancillary service providers including Home Health and Hospice
- Communication with family members to inform them of changes, available services, progress reporting and address questions and concerns
- Conscripting new services and managing coordination of care and services as requested by the family
**Additional hours are billed at the prorated amount of $85/hour as needed. Additional hours are not incurred without the client's express consent.
Per Visit Skilled Nursing Rates (visits are 60-90 minutes):
- LVN Visit: Starting at $135.00 and $75/hr. for each additional hour
- RN Visit: Starting at $175.00 and $80/hr. for each additional hour
Temp to Hire Program
- For our clients that are interested in hiring a caregiver or nurse directly, HCOLJ has a "Temp to Hire" program that allows the client to use our caregivers on an hourly rate basis and eventually hire the caregiver they prefer for a set fee.

All Home Care Of La Jolla nurses, caregivers and aides are employees of the company, educated, vetted, bonded and insured. All caregivers are registered with the state caregiver registry having met the qualifications necessary to provide in home care in compliance with state and federal laws. All nurses have current licensure in good standing and passed our stringent testing and reference check processes.
