Home Care Of La Jolla is a physician-directed, CAHSAH-certified and State licensed home care agency, providing concierge level in-home nurses and caregivers and service to the entire San Diego County. Our focus and our passion has been top quality, affordable private pay home care since 2002.

Because of our background as a provider of nurses, nurse aides and caregivers to hospitals and medical research firms, plus our wealth of experience as a state-licensed home health agency, the service we provide is simply superior to those offered by any franchise home care company.

Home Care Of La Jolla is an outgrowth of Discovery Health Services, a specialty medical services firm founded in 2002 with the primary focus of providing nurses and technical staff to Scripps Hospitals, Sharp Hospitals & Healthcare Centers, and UCSD Hospitals on an as needed basis. In the past decade we have expanded to provide nurses and specialist for clinical research, drug trials, home infusion and dozens of in-patient facilities.

The foundation that would become Home Care Of La Jolla grew organically. Before we had a dedicated home care division, hospital staff, case managers and discharge planners from both Scripps and Sharp would often call us to request "Sitters" or en-suite Certified Nurse Aides to attend to the 24-hour needs of their VIP clients for the duration of their hospital stay. Once discharged from the hospital these VIP clients would ask that our Sitter, Caregiver or Certified Nurse Aide continue to care for them at home. As the requests for in-home care provided by our hospital-qualified San Diego Caregivers, Nurse Aides and Sitters became more common we developed the structure that is Home Care Of La Jolla, now San Diego's top rated home care agency.

Because we believe that the hiring and employment standards put forth by JCAHO attract a better class of employee, Home Care Of La Jolla caregivers, CNA's, CHHA's, and home care RN's and LVN's must go through the same rigorous hiring processes as those that serve our hospital and research clientele before they can work for our San Diego home care agency.
